Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Jeremy Chichery, trading as Ubaye Canyoning (SIRET 98812891400013), hereinafter "the Provider", and any individual or entity wishing to benefit from canyoning services, hereinafter "the Client". Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these terms.

The Provider offers guided canyoning trips in the Ubaye valley, the Hautes-Alpes and the Haut-Var. Four packages are available: Family (from age 8), Discovery (from age 12), Sport (from age 14) and Exception (from age 14, on request). Technical gear (wetsuit, helmet, harness, safety equipment) is provided and included in the price.

Current prices are listed on the Prices page of ubayecanyoning.fr. Payment is made on-site in cash, by bank transfer, or online via the Yoplanning booking system when active. Group discounts apply from 6 people. The Provider reserves the right to change prices at any time; services are billed at the rate in effect at the time of booking.

Booking is done via WhatsApp at +33 6 24 48 72 75, email at contact@ubayecanyoning.fr, or through the online booking system. The booking is confirmed after discussion with the Provider and agreement on date, route and number of participants. A deposit may be required for groups of 6 or more.

By the Client: free cancellation up to 48h before the trip. Late cancellation (less than 48h) requires full payment, except in duly justified cases of force majeure.

By the Provider: the Provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a trip at any time for safety reasons (adverse weather, unsuitable water flow, storm or flood risk). In that case, the trip is fully rescheduled or refunded, at the Client's choice. No additional compensation may be claimed.

The Client agrees to: disclose any medical condition, allergy, injury or disability that may affect canyoning practice; arrive at the meeting point on time with the recommended equipment (closed hiking shoes or sturdy trainers, swimsuit, water); follow all safety instructions given by the Provider throughout the trip; know how to swim (basic comfort in moving water); for minors, provide a signed parental authorisation and be accompanied by a responsible adult; not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation to any Client not meeting these conditions, without refund.

The Provider holds a French State Diploma JEPS in Sports Performance, Canyoning specialty (No. DE013260030), a professional sports instructor card (No. 00426ED0025) and professional liability insurance (MAIF). Canyoning is an outdoor sport with inherent risks (slipping, falls, immersion, flow variations). The Client participates knowingly and accepts these risks. The Provider implements all necessary measures to ensure participant safety but cannot be held liable for damages resulting from the Client's failure to follow safety instructions.

Photos and videos may be taken during the trip for sharing with the group and promoting the activity. By participating, the Client authorises use of their image for communication purposes (website, social media). Any Client wishing to object must notify the Provider before the trip begins.

Personal data collected (name, phone, email) is used exclusively for booking management and is never shared with third parties. In accordance with GDPR, the Client has the right to access, rectify and delete their data by contacting the Provider at contact@ubayecanyoning.fr.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute shall be brought before the competent courts of Digne-les-Bains (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France).
